Local Economic Development Organizations

El Dorado/Union County Unlimited, or EUCU, is the economic development marketing & recruiting arm of the El Dorado Industrial Development Corporation, El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and the Union County Industrial Board.

The core mission of EUCU is to market our community and be prepared to assist:

  • existing industry growth
  • prospective companies locate/relocate
  • site consultants identify the competitive

We will provide:
  • timely and valuable answers to questions;
  • help in identifying potential buildings and/or sites;
  • help in coordinating visits and arranging itineraries;
  • provide creative financing options.

The EUCU works hand-in-hand with the following economic development partners to offer professional guidance and expertise to those who seek it:

 

El Dorado Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 organization, serving as the umbrella organization for the El Dorado Industrial Development Corporation, Union County Industrial Board, and El Dorado/Union County Unlimited. Its President/CEO reports to a board of 30 community leaders headed by an executive committee of ten. The mission of the Chamber is “...to provide leadership in economic and community development for El Dorado and Union County to improve the quality of life for all its citizens.”

El Dorado Industrial Development Corporation (EIDC)

factory photo The EIDC is a private non-profit 501(c)6 organization operating under the umbrella of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce. Its board of directors consists of 11 individuals from business/industry with the Chamber President & CEO serving as the Executive Vice-President of the board.

Union County Industrial Board (UCIB)

The UCIB is a public facility board operating under the umbrella of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce. Its board consists of five community leaders with the Chamber President & CEO serving as the Executive Vice-President of the board. These entities, along with our other economic development partners (listed below), work together to offer local incentives to prospective businesses considering expansion within our community or relocation to our community.

Teamwork Arkansas (Entergy)

Teamwork Arkansas is the economic development office of Entergy Arkansas, Inc., the state’s largest electric utility. As one of the largest private sector economic development initiatives in the country, they offer professional proactive and resourceful expertise to companies searching for a new business location, an abundant workforce, innovative incentives, natural resources and an unsurpassed quality of life. Together with other economic development organizations and communities, they help build a brighter future for Arkansas.

Arkansas Department of Economic Development (ADED)

The ADED offers incentives to businesses expanding or locating in Arkansas. The incentives include recruiting workers, pre-employment training, business and industry training, on-the-job training, existing workforce training program. Local Elected Officials

Union County residents elect one State Senator and two members of the State House of Representatives. These elected officials work as part of our team, helping us meet the needs of businesses and creating competitive incentives allowing businesses to expand and/or locate in our community.
